"Modim Anaknu Lach", We thank you, O God, for our Children and for what they
mean and bring to our lives.
For the love we have known, for all the mitzvot they have begun to do.
For pride in our children's Jewish heritage,
For faith in their Jewish destiny,
For all the simchas we have enjoyed,
For the gift of life itself,
And for the gift of Torah.
We rejoice in our son who has made us proud on becoming Bar Mitzvahed.
He has added another chapter to the story of our family and the Jewish
people. Some family members are not here today, including your Grandpa Alex
and Grandpa George. Their memories are a blessing and their smiles hover over
you. They would have been delighted by your D'Vor Torah, by your Hebrew
chanting, and by the person you're becoming-- just as your grandmothers are
delighted and proud of you.

Andrew, may God who blessed our ancestors, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob,
Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel and Leah, bless you with good health, a loving spirit,
and a searching heart.
May you grow to be strong in body and mind, to love what is good and true,
may you never forget how much we love you.
May your eyes continue to sparkle with the light of Torah.
May the Hebrew names you bear shine on your handsome face and bring
blessing to our family, to the Jewish People and to all the world.

Amen.
